I have 2 children and 4 step children and I live in Boise, Idaho. I have also lived in Virginia, Texas, Kansas, Utah, and Argentina.
I am the creator of @Camera_Mama; a community of 80,000+ parents.
I speak Spanish and I’m currently working on learning Portuguese.

The name Merrakai was inspired by the Greek word Meraki which means the love, creativity, or soul that is put into something; the essence of yourself that you put into your work.
