Mason and his cute parents.I have just loved photographing little Mason over the past year and seeing him grow!
Look how little he was here in this Christmastime shoot! So adorable!
He got so much hair by Easter I couldn't believe it. What a handsome little guy! Here he is with Mufasa the Bunny at the Easter Photo Party I had.
And here he is now, almost one! All grown up, well almost! :-)Thank you Makenzie and Ross for the opportunity to photograph your darling little son! xo, Rebecca
Mason thought the grass was fun to taste!Cute little toesies! Those eyes! That smile! And those two cute...
After meeting Margret for the first time I came away with the distinct impression that if the up and coming generation is anything like her, we are in very good hands! I don't even know where to start with Margret, she is just such a lovely person inside and out. Samantha Barrows was the hair and makeup artist for Margret (by the way, this is included for free with all of my senior sessions) and she re-posted the photo of Margret below along with this caption: "Isn't she just Gorgeous!! Loved meeting this old soul today!! She was so sweet and such a joy to work with!" Well I couldn't agree more!...
It is a rare combination to find someone so smart, talented, kind, and beautiful and yet so unaware of these qualities in themselves to the effect of making that person even more endearing. That would be Mia. I'm so so glad that I have had the good fortune of crossing paths with Mia and for the opportunity to take her senior portraits. Mia I am so excited to share these photos with you and your lovely parents! xo, Rebecca
Julia Davis Park provided a beautiful green background for one location of Mia's shoot.
The evening light glowed behind her to an angelic effect.
Hard to believe it, but Mia had just...
From the suburbs of Dallas, to the backwoods in Utah, this 2016 senior is one to watch! Lydia is the perfect picture of poise and grace. As I was huffing and puffing my way up the mountain with my camera gear to get to just the right spot I felt totally out of shape and I asked Lydia if she was out of breath too. She said she was, which made me feel better, but I'm guessing she really was just fine and just didn't want me to feel bad! :-) Such a great girl! This beautiful location is about 30 minutes from the small town of Oakley, Utah and it was so fun to visit Franson Lane, named after my husbands...
The early morning drive to the Phillips family cabin on roads that wandered through green pastureland and past cold mountain streams was scenic and peaceful. During the last 30 minute stretch to their secluded wooded retreat my husband and I stopped several times just to gaze at the beautiful scenery. The aspen trees were particularly majestic in the morning light. The last time I had seen the Phillips family was when I lived in Dallas, which seems like a lifetime ago. Emily's directions on how to get to their cabin were perfectly precise which was a good thing since about 10 miles from their...
Melissa and I became friends when our daughters were kindergarten classmates in Ogden, Utah about 4 years ago. Now Melissa is a teacher at that same school and if I still had children at that school I would be beyond thrilled if Mrs. Davis was their teacher. I was so happy to have the chance to take the Davis family photos. Since I have a blended family too, I know how hard it can be to get everyone's schedules coordinated for a family photo session so kudos to Melissa and Craig for making it happen! Snowbasin made a gorgeous backdrop on this beautiful summer evening. I think you'll agree! I'm so excited...
It may or may not be true that Scott could have been a contender for the new land speed record based on how long it took him to drive his family from Salt Lake City to the Bonneville Salt Flats! It really is no small feat to drive two small children to a photo shoot 2 hours away and shoot in the blazing full sun and have everybody smiling...amazingly done Brittany and Scott! You are such a fun couple and I'm so glad I get to call you family! Your boys are just adorable and I love hanging out with your family. I am technically Brittany's aunt since I am married to her dad's brother, but I definitely...
We like to joke in the Franson Family that I dated Dawn and her sister before I dated my husband Jared, their little brother, and it's kind of true! Jared and I met on an online dating site and we hit it off from the beginning as we talked and texted back and forth. However, both of us had been burned a few times from bad dating experiences from people we had met online. When Jared was joking with me saying that he hoped I was who I said I was (after he had already booked a plane ticket to come meet me), I joked right back and reminded him that two of his sisters lived in the same county that...
Last month was my 20th high school reunion {gasp!} so I headed down to Cache Valley to mix and mingle with some familiar faces. Two of those familiar faces were Doug and Becky Larson, former classmates of mine at Sky View High School in Smithfield, Utah. Although Doug and Becky are both from Cache Valley they have been all over the country while Doug has been pursuing his education. Sadly, after all of that schooling they are homeless! Just kidding, kind of. They are in the process of moving from Las Vegas to Oregon where Doug will be practicing as a radiologist. However, they actually will be homeless...
A few months ago my sister asked me if I would donate a photo session to the Silent Auction Fundraiser for the Junior League of Ogden. My sister is the president of the Ogden chapter of the Junior League and the Junior League is such a great organization so of course I said yes! This family won the auction and I had a great time photographing them in the beauty that surrounds Snowbasin Ski resort. Snowbasin was the perfect backdrop for family photos for this couple and their little boy since they love to come enjoy the beautiful trails surrounding Snowbasin on a regular basis. I'm so glad I had the opportunity...
