Caleb, Eagle High School, Class of 2016 – Boise Senior Photographer

Caleb is a senior rep for me and I photographed him earlier this month on his home turf in Eagle, Idaho! My intention was to only have girl senior reps but when I saw Caleb and his friends performing some funny skits in between the performances at the Distinguished Young Women of West Boise Classic, they were so funny I changed my mind! And then, it turned out that I already knew Caleb’s sister Nicole! We started off his shoot at his home and while chatting with his sister-in-law who was there at the time I found out that she had nannied for one of my dear friends Kristin when they both lived in Michigan! It really is a small world! Caleb I am so glad I got to work with you! I am so excited to share these photos with you and your parents! Best, Rebecca

I don’t know the whole story behind Caleb’s pineapple shirt but I know it’s a good one!

The “golden hour” sun really is magical!

As I was processing Caleb’s photos the thought struck me that he looks quite similar to what I would imagine my 8 year old son will look when he is that age!Caleb-Eagle-High-Class-of-2016-19

Caleb may look serious here, but he was cracking up his mom and me during this portion of the shoot!

Caleb’s mom showed me the wall where she has framed photos of all of her children when they are seniors. She has a frame with a cool mat that has space for a main photo and then 3 or 4 smaller ones. The smaller ones are the ones where she puts photos of her seniors participating in the different activities they are involved in. One of the things that Caleb has been involved in is basketball…Caleb-Eagle-High-Class-of-2016-15

It’s always a great idea to have in mind what you are going to actually do with the photos once you have them. Will you hang them on the wall? Make an album? It’s helpful to me to know if you do have plans for them, what they are so I can shoot accordingly. For example, all the photos that Caleb’s mom needed for her framed senior collection needed to be vertical.

The Shaw home is so lovely I had to get a shot of Caleb in front of it before we moved on to a different location.

Caleb also plays the piano so I got a shot of him at the piano that was aiming to look similar to a photo of his older brother.
